On Thursday, December 3, Valentino‘s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli were in Miami to celebrate Mirabilia Romae by Pietro Ruffo in the Design District. The installation is part of a 12km itinerary of historical room, a project called “Mirabilia Road.”
“We are extremely proud to continue the journey we started with Mirabilia Romae. The artistic installation of Miami ‘From Memory to Creativity’ is an important moment to narrate how our stylistic direction can develop from personal to universal. The concept of ‘bottega dell’arte’, recreated through the work of Pietro Ruffo, glorifies the values of time and the precious manual skills of our Haute Couture Atelier. A performance that celebrates our creative identity, transmitting it towards the future,” said Chiuri and Piccioli.
“The suggestion that I have included in the scenic design, which fascinates me the most of Rome, is the spectacular antagonism between the power of nature and the architecture which has tried in vain to tame it for centuries. This contrast creates breathtaking vitality and views, which become even more visible when working on the map of Rome, by Nolli,” said Ruffo.
Guests that night included Roman Alonso, Martin Assouline, Adrien Brody, Claudia Cisneros, Laura de Gunzburg, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, Sebastian & Natalie Echavarria, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, Harry & Jill Kargman, Arielle Kebbel, Michael Klug, Liza Lou, Di Mondo, Mia Moretti, Carlos Mota, Erica Pelosini, Polina Proshkina, Stefano Sassi, Cameron Silver, Carlos Souza, and Stefano Tonchi.
