Thorsten Albertz Basks in the Best of LA Art Week

Join Whitewall as we hear from Thorsten Albertz, the innovative, founding partner at albertz benda, on his LA Art Week favorites—including riveting conversations over cocktails and a thrilling surprise at the Felix Art Fair.

As the Founding Partner of pioneering art gallery albertz benda In Los Angeles, Thorsten Albertz offers an ever-evolving platform for vibrant works of craft, design, and visual arts. In spirited conversation with its New York sanctuary, the gallery’s idyllic space in West Hollywood invites the local and international art community to relish in creations by a myriad of leading-edge artists.

Albertz generously took the time to share with Whitewall details of his vivacious party on Marmont Lane during LA Art Week, the best discovery at Frieze LA, and adventuring across the city to take part in all the rapturous happenings.

Don’t fault me for being biased: our SADDLE UP party at albertz benda’s West Hollywood gallery was a knockout. Great people, great vibes, and an amazing show curated by our gallery artist Devon DeJardin. The hay we brought in to set the atmosphere? I’m still finding pieces of it in the most random places.

An intense, head-spinning, and fascinating conversation with Claudia Schmuckli at Victoria Burns’ end-of-LA-Art-Week cocktail reception—something I’ll remember for a while.
