Ashley McNelis is a first year MA student at the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University where she focuses on Modern and Contemporary Art. She works as a freelance curatorial assistant for two writer/curators based in New York. Once an intern for BOMB Magazine, she is now a contributor to the magazine's online site, BOMBlog. Previously, she has worked for powerHouse Books, Mary Ellen Mark's photography studio and a myriad of other arts institutions in New York City, Massachusetts and Pittsburgh. She is also a fine art photographer and lives in Brooklyn.
