Specially conceived for Milan Design Week, the presentation “Solids” saw B&B Italia transforming its via Durini showroom with an installation of furniture highlighting primary colors and geometric solids. Amid wallpapers of dots, panels of color, and displays of sharp, eye-catching lines, visitors will find the house’s latest debuts, made with the likes of Piero Lissoni, Kensaku Oshiro, Monica Armani, Naota Fukasawa, Gabriel Tan, Gabriel and Oscar Buratti, and Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
The chic, contemporary furniture designs include desks, chairs, couches, privacy screens, and consoles. Among our favorites include Barber and Osgerby’s Tortello sofa and chair (each a single, compact padded unit imagined sans-cushions), the contrasting Dambo sofa system by Lissoni, which lends itself to a more classic sectional feel, and the Quiet Lines series by Tan, which includes minimalistic furniture for the bedroom, like a writing desk and bedside table. Also on view at the showroom are pieces like Lemante glass tables, Flair O’Couture pedestal chair, and the videogame-esque Up5 lounge and footrest.
