Unexpected Wonder
Being back in Milan for Design Week after almost two years couldn’t have had a better start than literally jumping into the giant version of Pratone by Gufram, really making us feel like Alice in Wonderland. And we had the same amazing feeling when getting lost among the three floors of Toiletpaper Home, the magazine’s headquarters which exceptionally opened for the first time. This back-to-childhood mood continued into the chamber of wonders at the Gucci Cartoleria and ended at Louis Vuitton and the surprising magic of the world of Fornasetti inside the luxury house’s iconic trunk.

Multisensorial Reality
A stunning walk on the sand in the Hermès village amplified their home collection, discovered through five tiny architectures as artisanal pieces in a local market. The surprise of Dior‘s exhibit of its iconic chair was celebrated through many interpretations by renowned designers in an impressive location. The immersive lighting experience at Audi City Lab and the magical poetry of Marsotto interiors was conceived by Nendo.

Design Regeneration
Past, present, and future were synthesized in an incredible experiential journey room after room at Dimore Studio, revealing established aesthetic codes with a unique contemporary touch. Alcova activated an experimental space in the abandoned rooms of the former Military Hospital of Baggio as an independent platform for contemporary designers who bring their own stories. It was an unmissable event.
Nilufar opened its Depot, the extraordinary post-industrial space dressed for the first time in a museum-like restraint that allowed Nina Yashar to celebrate the interplay between art and design—the driving pillar of her selection. Last but not least, the inspiring commitment of Rossana Orlandi with the Guiltless Plastic Prize, where the design community was challenged to use plastic waste before it reaches the waterways, to promote the next generation of design: reusing, recycling, and upcycling plastic.
