This week in Paris at Le Pré Catelan, Flos and B&B Italia unite for the momentous first time with hospitality house Casa Italia Paris 2024, hosting athletes and visitors of the XXXIII Olympic Games through August 11. Lighting and furniture brands—and founding companies of Flos B&B Italia Group—uplift the transcendent beauty and functionality of Made in Italy design within Le Pré Catelan, a dramatic Napoleon III-style edifice in the City of Light’s expansive park Bois de Boulogne.
Both indoors and en plein air, the innovative masterpieces of Flos and B&B Italia are displayed alongside gems by acclaimed design brands and Italian luminaries including Gaetano Pesce’s UP Series, Mario Bellini’s Camaleonda sofa and Le Bambole seating, Piero Lissoni’s Planck tables, and Monica Armani’s Allure O’ table and Flair O’ chair. A conversation between forms, tones, and textures unfolds across the must-see presentation, inviting guests on an illuminating voyage through the epitome of Italian serenity and sophistication.

The B&B Italia Outdoor Collection and Flos at Casa Italia Paris 2024
In celebration of design that upholds Mother Nature’s finery, Casa Italia’s verdant outdoor lounge space spotlights novel creations of the B&B Italia Outdoor collection. Antonio Citterio’s Ribes sofas, Patricia Urquiola’s Crinoline chairs, and Piero Lissoni’s Borea tables are studded like jewels across the aromatic gardens of Le Pré Catelan.
As Official Supplier for Casa Italia Paris 2024’s sweeping lighting project, Flos partnered with advanced technology lab Fabertechnica, skillful interior designer Bianca Patroni Griffi, and esteemed architecture firm IT’S in order to develop a radiant decor for the tremendous artworks on view and day to night exhibition events. Floating through the hospitality house as cosmic wonders are Taraxacum and Viscontea cocoon models designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni as well as the Zeppelin by Marcel Wanders. New and cutting-edge treasures include Jasper Morrison’s Glo-Ball, Michael Anastassiades’s Arrangements and Floor Lamps IC and Captain Flint, and Barber Osgerby’s Bellhop Floor.

Design Materials Echo the Architecture of Nature and Le Pré Catelan
In a symphony of style in tune with the majestic architecture of Le Pré Catelan, the IC and Captain Flint floor lamps boast lush bases made of Tuscan imperial travertine as well as volcanic stone derived from Mount Etna. Nearby, masterful lighting division Flos Architectural brings to Casa Italia the groundbreaking Tracking Magnet, a patented arrangement of LED lights for lavish sustainable design.

What is Le Pré Catelan?
Inaugurated in 1856, Pré Catelan is a huge success: the bucolic site, the quality of the orchestras and the refinement of the festivals make it one of the most popular places in the capital. In 1976, Colette and Gaston Lenôtre took over Le Pré Catelan and made these salons a Mecca for the organization of events, distinguished by high-end gastronomy. Since 2011, Pré Catelan has been one of Sodexo’s places and brands of Prestige.
