The Miami Design District (MDD) unveiled its latest addition to an ever-growing neighborhood, Museum Garage. The seven-story structure features retail space on the ground level and seven stories of parking space for 800 cars.
The concept of Museum Garage is unique—MDD’s Craig Robbins tasked Terence Riley of K/R to curate the design-focused project. Drawing inspiration from Exquisit Corpse, the surrealist game, Riley chose five international artists and designers to create one façade each. The result is five separate eye-catching facades: “Serious Play” by artist Nicolas Buffe, “Ant Farm” by WORKac, “Urban Jam” by Clavel Arquitectos, “XOX (Hugs and Kisses)” by J. Mayer H., and “Barricades” K/R Architects. Also featured is the work of artist Jamian Juliano-Villani, Dippin.

Museum Garage will hold a soft-opening and panel discussion with the architects at the ICA Miami on Monday, April 23.
