Celine Unveiled the Luminous Renovation of its Miami Design District Flagship
This December, French luxury house Celine unveiled the luminous renovation of its Miami Design District flagship boutique. Two sweeping floors embrace the profound vision of the maison’s Creative Director Hedi Slimane, culminating in a contemporary Shangri-la of tantalizing tone, texture, and poetry. In homage to Celine’s enduring artistic prowess and legendary savoir-faire, the space unfolds as a perpetual work of art, where sensuous materials finely honed by Mother Nature herself meet striking attention to art, design, and craftsmanship.
The Magic City’s Ethereal Boutique is a Reflective and Empowering Space
A mesmeric labyrinth of mirrors shines throughout, welcoming clients into a reflective and empowering space rooted in lava stone flooring. Centering, natural stones of gray travertine and antique marbles are collaged with the glow of oak and antique gold mirrors, embellishing brutalist design with organic grandeur. Stepping over the threshold and into the store’s first floor, the house’s fine jewelry offerings, women’s leather goods, and haute parfumerie collections radiate around a central “perfume organ” of dynamic marble. Regal coffered ceilings illuminate chic lounging spaces featuring both vintage pieces and furniture designed uniquely by Slimane for The Magic City’s ethereal flagship.
A Glittering Staircase Leads to a New Dimension of Artistic and Cultural Prowess at Celine
Upon ascending a glittering, mirrored staircase, which evokes a transformative journey to a new, starry dimension, the comprehensive Celine homme collection is presented alongside women’s ready-to-wear garments. Glass and stainless-steel display units invite clients to explore the maison’s striking and elegant designs, placed in spellbinding conversation with the Celine Art Project and contemporary gems by luminaries including Maia Ruth Lee, SoiL Thornton, Eli Ping, Lucy Skaer, Elaine Cameron-Weir, and Antonia Kuo.
