Eidos Spring/Summer 2017 Collection

Eidos Journeys to Bagru for Inspiration

No contributor

Eidos sailed away from the Mediterranean to venture in the waters of the Indian Ocean. The spring/summer collection 2017 explored the history of Rajasthan textile culture.

The collection was enlivened by dyes and prints from natural dyes like indigo, madder, and iron. Entitled “Bar Palladio to Bagru,” pieces were influenced by the cultural heart in Jaipur. Bar Palladio serves as an epicenter of diversity in the mind and aesthetics.

Rich blues and soft creams were seen with the palette for this collection, capturing those natural elements used for fabric dying. Integrating personal touches to these pieces reflects the influence of the village Bagru, an hour outside Jaipur. Here artisans craft textiles by hand. This dedication to the integrity of the clothing was seen with the flowing fabrics of the collection. Eidos preserved the artistry found from their inspiration and wove it into a collection unprecedented by the brand.
