Jil Sander recently announced a partnership with the technical performance outerwear brand based in North Vancouver, Arc’teryx to create a collection of mountain and winter-weather sportswear.
The collection includes three jackets as well as a pair of bibbed trousers and a one-piece suit. Guaranteed for maximum performance, the collection’s fabrics are made up of waterproof and breathable 3L Gore-text Pro with overlays of supple weatherproof leather. Inspired by brilliant and mystic glaciers, the collection comes in three different colorways: white, black, and blue-gray.
Jil Sander co-creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier said of their partnership with Arc’teryx, “We both grew up spending time in the mountains enjoying winter sports but we could never find garments that balanced high performance with high aesthetic quality. Eventually, with Arc’teryx, a company we have always admired for their rigor and commitment to research, we had the chance to design them.”
