Milan Men’s Fashion Week: Brioni and Bally Explore the Wild

This week is Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week so we’ll be brining you daily coverage of what’s coming down the runways and shown off in the showrooms. First up, Bally and Brioni take us on a chilly journey to Mount Everest and Siberia.

Of note this week was Brendane Mullane’s debut collection with Brioni. It wove a tale of a Trans-Siberian journey from Milan through the frozen wilderness of Russia’s northernmost territory. Starting with contemporary layered looks, the collection moved through winter palettes and tailored suits, ending with luxurious outerwear and smart accessories.

Likewise, Bally brought the rugged outdoors to their collection, in commemoration of the 60-year anniversary of the brand’s ascent to Mount Everest. The deer skin “Himalaya” boot paid homage to the reindeer boot used on the original hike. Muted natural colors reflected the alpine wilderness of Everest and informed much of the collection.
