In a cathartic fall/winter 2024 presentation, designer and founder Miuccia Prada lifted sensorial memories of the past, collaging them with dramatic interludes of the present, for a crowning spectacle of life draped in the vivacity of Miu Miu.
Contemporary icons Kristin Scott Thomas, Ethel Cain, Angel Haze, Qin Huilan, Guillaume Diop, Ángela Molina, and more shaped the runway’s richly visceral atmosphere with emotion and sophistication, while original compositions by musical artists Christelle Oyiri, Asma Maaroof, Joseph Schiano di Lombo, and Daniel Pineda enveloped the audience in rousing meditation.

Artist Cécile B. Evans Immerses Guests in a Supernatural Miu Miu Show Space
Within a supernatural show space, a succession of video installations by Belgian-American artist Cécile B. Evans immersed guests in humanistic progress and words of meaningful sentiment: “For a moment, it all came back, you know, in colors, smells, and I could taste your tears as you laughed in profile, sun blazing behind you.”
Titled “Individual Moments,” the landscape shimmered with light and architectural movement, giving way to an expressive collection invoking the innocent flairs of childhood and the sumptuous fluency of adulthood.

Free-Spirited Recollections of Youth are Imbued into Petite Shapes and Bright Hues
Petite shapes, scrunched sleeves, rounded collars, delicate shoes, and bright hues conjured the buoyancy of youth, patching together recollections of wonder, defiance, and freedom. Textural, pajama-esque garments and tights were layered under oversized suede jackets, dazzling with embroidery that recalled the found flowers of forest adventures.
Preppy and sporty sweaters, coats, and cardigans whisked over the figure on a blur of school days, were styled with short and voluminous poplin skirts blooming with verdant flowers; paired with fiery sunglasses and lace-up boots, each look celebrated every enigmatic facet of girlishness.

The Savoir-Faire of Womanhood Unfolds in Spellbinding Design Details and Tailoring
An evolution into the savoir-faire of womanhood unfolded in spellbinding design details including the dynamism of brooches, the gleam of elongated leather gloves, the gracious curvature of elegant coats, and the swell of gold zippered handbags.
Perfection of tailoring was illuminated in provocative little black dresses embellished with authoritative cut-outs, in pristine cotton jersey sheaths, and in artfully creased iterations that evoked compelling irreverence. Shearling posing as fur-cloaked models in thrilling warmth and mystery, interwoven with super-cropped denim jackets and low-slung jeans, inviting the vibrancy of chic rebellion at any stage of life.
Miu Miu left us with this wrinkle in time: “Maybe you’ll forget these words, but the water—the electricity between us: the imprint of what it felt like to be loved will never leave you.”
