Tadashi Shoji‘s New York Fashion Week premier included a line of flowing gowns from just below the knees to primarily floor-length in black, white, and navy with the occasional shock of scarlet red. Shoji favored mainly sleeveless or shoulder-baring dresses cut on the bias to reveal flowing pleated skirts in chiffon and silk, perfect for the most impressive cocktail hour or red carpet event. A memorable gown from the collection was a long sleeve, perfectly draped black chiffon stunner covered in patches of silver beading that moved fluidly down to the mermaid-style bottom.
