For the past decade, Cartier’s “Artist Meets Artisan” program has allowed for contemporary creativity to shine. Curated by the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain and in collaboration with the Ateliers Cartier, hand-selected artists have been given the opportunity to create new pieces for the house, utilizing unique and unused stones.
Today, the brand is celebrating its first piece from “Artist Meets Artisan” in New York—its latest collaboration with Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes. On view through November 23 exclusively at the brand’s boutique in Hudson Yards is the creator’s Aquarium.

Suspended from the ceiling is the gorgeous ornamented mobile, inspired by the patterns and hues of her paintings and collages. 15 gold strands reminiscent of necklace designs are seen adorned with geometric shapes and floral ornaments, inviting guests in to explore the history and heritage of Cartier.
