This week, Whitewall’s showing you what’s brand new from Louis Vuitton, LOEWE, ISAIA, and Hermès.
Louis Vuitton is continuing its partnership with UNICEF for the third year, partnering for the Silver Lockit bracelets. To continue a shared dedication for raising awareness and funds to support children around the world, the brands are offering the bracelets in five colors—the fluorescent ones perfect for the summer months ahead. The Lockit is inspired by the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1809 to protect his client’s belongings. Now, it is reimagined to help those in need today. Since the ongoing partnership’s launch in 2016, the brands have raised over five million dollars, providing clean drinking water, food, medical care, clothing, and blankets for children in Syria and its neighboring countries.
LOEWE has launched its first eyewear collection, in collaboration with Thélios. For Fall 2018, the unique, innovative shapes are made with a mix of materials like leather, metal, and acetate. Gradient lenses and modern silhouettes are unusually delightful, giving the wearer something that is true to the house’s archives, but new. In the collection, three styles pop: Puzzle Medium, with its oval-shaped sides and inverted triangle top; Tyra, with its sharp, exaggerated frame and metalwork; and Jinkx, with its sophisticated, classic look, adorned with a leather top. With each, we see quality and elevation from Thélios and LOEWE—a match made in shade heaven.
ISAIA recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2019 collection in Milan, and with it, its new MiniMe collection for kids. The brand’s very first red carpet moment was at the 2017 Emmys with Liev Schreiber, wherein ISAIA dressed both him and his son. The positive support and feedback was what initially propelled the brand to create the collection, which now spruces up the younger generation. Seen in the collection are trousers, shirts, and outer wear that can be seen on men, but in a very playful way.
Hermès has the perfect day-to-night fragrance, Eau de Citron Noir, created by in-house perfumer Christine Nagel. The contemporary scent strikes with bites of citrus, while rounding out with smoky notes of wood and black lime. “So many unusual varieties of citrus appealed to me, but it was the smoky and distinguished black lime that finally stood out as the key note,” said Nagel.
