"Lucky Dior" capsule

Brand New: Lucky Dior, Givenchy Sunnies, Marni Bags, and More

In this edition of Brand New, we’re looking at releases like Dior’s “Lucky Dior” capsule collection, new sunglasses by Givenchy, Marni’s woven bags, and more.

Marni SS22 Courtesy of Marni.

Marni’s latest series of woven bags have been finely crafted from materials like leather, raffia, and rope. The fashion house has introduced several styles that we’re longing to add to our wardrobe, including buckets, totes, and a larger shoulder bag. While our favorite is the Small Yellow Raffia tote, a fun summer accessory, we’d suggest a style like the Trunk Soft Medium bag for a versatile style that endures the seasons.

Yi Collection Green Emerald Chain Ring Courtesy of Yi Collection.

Yi Collection specializes in colorful stones and thoughtful designs, and its Emerald Chain ring is no exception. Adorning the finger with a dainty green stone—a 0.55 ct emerald—the ring sits securely on the finger with a sturdy yet delicate 18k yellow gold chain. Wear the ring on its own or pair it as a pop of color in your favorite stack.

Dior’s new“Lucky Dior” capsule collection offers an astrological nod to Christian Dior’s interest in signs and symbols of destiny. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the capsule encompasses womenswear garments like dresses, pants, shorts, and bathrobes, alongside accessories including Mitza scarves, Book Totes, Lady Dior bags, Dway sandals, and more. The playful collection is seen in several iterations of a special print featuring colorful takes on the zodiac signs (like a yellow blouse with brightly colored crabs, fish, lions, and other star signs) and other symbolism, like Monsieur Dior’s lucky star, which adorns several pieces, like the Caro bag.

İTÄ’s “¡Buenos Días!” collection presents a selection of beautiful, unusual shapes (including rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces) that feature influences from the brand’s Turkish and Puerto Rican roots, as well as inspiration from the mythology of the sun’s power. Employing the unique carving of the sun found among symbols attributed to the Puerto Rican mountains, the collection centers around this asymmetric icon, which informs pieces in yellow and white gold, set with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and other stones—like our favorite necklace, set with dark cognac diamonds.

Krug Rosé 26th Edition Courtesy of Krug.

The champagne house Krug released its Rosé 26th Edition recently, bottled in green glass with a delicate pink label. The bubbly features an unexpected blend of boldness and elegance, which is the product of grapes harvested in 2014, and bears notes from 28 wines from seven different years. Enclosed in a chic box, the bottle will make the perfect gift—or snag one for yourself to sip on a special evening at home.

Givenchy Courtesy of Givenchy.

Givenchy’s new GIV CUT sunglasses debuted in Creative Director Matthew M. Williams’s first menswear presentation and developed in collaboration with LVMH eyewear expert Thélios. The contemporary, sculptural unisex eyewear shape features a distinctive, geometric design with black frames and lenses that is the product of special 3-D printing techniques.

Macy's x Akwaaba Inn Courtesy of Macy’s and Akwaaba Inn.

A limited-edition collection between Macy’s and hospitality brand Akwaaba Inn sees a specially-curated edit for the Macy’s Hotel Collection chosen by the founder and CEO of Akwaaba Inns, Monique Greenwood. The collection of items and décor for the home adds the perfect touch of global modernity to your space with its selection of cool neutrals and eye-catching prints and patterns—seen across a selection including tea sets, wine glasses, bedding in natural fabrics, and more.

Rangel Collection II Courtesy of Rangel.

Isabela Grutman’s fashion label Rangel recently announced the drop of its second collection, “II,” now available online. Imagined in responsible textiles like Italian silk jacquard, organic Brazilian cotton, Italian linen, and other fabrications, Grutman’s designs for this second launch include 1970s disco shapes, her home country of Brazil, and a nod to the glamor of Cher. A pared-back palette featuring pink, black, and off-white paints breezy shapes easily dressed up or down, including a silky button-up shirt dress, matching linen sets with cropped jackets, and a few summery styles for children.
