During Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Dior presented an enthralling High Jewelry collection: Dior Délicat. Artistic Director Victoire de Castellane designed 79 pieces inspired by the house of Dior, featuring a wealth of gleaming stones.
Collaging the mesmeric patterns of “Galons Dior” with the grandeur of “Dearest Dior,” the collection also instilled the fundamentals of haute couture garments into their latest high jewelry offerings. The result was a parade of hypnotic treasures that flawlessly evoked the tenderness and vitality of lace and embroidery.
Dior’s Gems are Reminiscent of Haute Couture Finery and Reflect Feminine Contours
Reminiscent of labyrinthine couture finery which embraces each and every curve of the body, Dior’s gems converge, crosscut, and divide, veiling and revealing skin at spellbinding intervals. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings spotlighting blue sapphires, rubies, emeralds, tanzanites, and rubellites reflected the delicate and feminine contours of the neck, wrist, and hand. Both geometric and asymmetric, settings of the coveted jewels cleverly receded as jubilant, ornamental compositions radiated front and center.
A sculptural bracelet of white and yellow gold, diamonds, emeralds, and tsavorite garnets uplifted the softness and strength of the contemporary heroine through light and dark, with both rounded and angular shapes.
Stately earrings of white gold, diamonds, sapphires, and blue lacquer evoked the chic drapery of a Haute Couture gown, cascading down the neck as if across a festive ballroom.
Both romantic and protective, a white and yellow gold necklace with icy white diamonds raced around the neck and across the collarbones in numerous strands of delight—crisscrossing at the center where a beacon of power and desire manifested in a teardrop yellow diamond.
A Tribute to Monsieur Dior’s Warmth for Mother Nature Unfolds
In celebration of Monsieur Dior’s lifelong warmth for mother nature and her utopian motifs, a white gold conglomeration of earrings, necklace, cuff bracelet, and double ring were enhanced with pique diamonds which summoned fragrant dreams of lush grass, flowers, and trees. A singular “Délicat” necklace of white gold and diamonds was transformable into a diadem— exuding transcendent, goddess-like royalty—while effervescent ear cuffs in white, yellow, pink gold, and diamonds added a contemporary edge to the breathtaking savoir-faire of Dior’s proficient artisans.
