Chanel Haute Couture FW21 dinner

Chanel Celebrates Haute Couture with an Evening at the Palais Galliera

This week in Paris, Chanel hosted a dinner at the Palais Galliera, celebrating the presentation of its Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Haute Couture collection. The event was set within the open-air courtyard of the grand structure, which is home to the Parisian art and fashion history museum. Guests joined together for a night of cuisine and entertainment in the very venue Chanel’s couture runway show took place just hours before.

For the occasion, the Palais Galliera’s monumental columns and white stone architecture were complemented by tall, leafy palms and rows of elegant tables. Set with lush, summery floral arrangements (reminiscent of the Impressionist artworks from which the new collection drew inspiration), guests were treated to a spread, surrounded by beautiful details like floral china, crystal glassware, and gold embellishments.

The night paid tribute to both the couture collection and the maison’s current retrospective at the museum, “Gabrielle Chanel (1883-1971),” which presents a chronological recount of Mademoiselle Chanel’s journey to becoming a fashion icon. Guests in attendance like Soo Joo Park, Sofia Coppola, Daisy Edgar Jones, Chloe Wise, Iman Perez, and Lola Nicon enjoyed a meal of sumptuous bites and a performance by the Columbian musician Ela Minus.
