For this week’s Brand New, we’re showing you the latest from brands like Dior, Disaronno, and Louis Vuitton.
British automobile company McLaren has revealed the Ultimate Series McLaren Speedtail, the company’s first Hyper-GT. Along with limitless opportunities for customization, the car features three seats with a central driving position, the capability to exceed 243 miles per hour (the top speed of McLaren’s legendary F1 road car), and a handcrafted logo with 18 carat white gold emblems and carbon fiber inlays. Mimicking the brand’s F1 from the 1990s, only 106 editions of the Speedtail were created.
For the first time, Dior is opening the doors to the exceptional places and secret settings from Christian Dior’s life with a new book—Dior and His Decorators: Victor Grandpierre, Georges Geffroy, and the New Look. An intimate peek at the past world that forged famous couturiers, the book, written by historian Maureen Footer, features illustrations and images, a forward by Vogue’s Editor at Large, Hamish Bowles, and an extensive discussion on Dior’s creative friendship and bond with decorators Victor Grandpierre and Georges Geffroy.
Disaronno is back with its annual Icon Project, this year in collaboration with Italian luxury fashion label Trussardi. The distinctive limited-edition bottle is dressed in Trussardi’s traditional leather, which incorporates the greyhound logo, infused with fuchsia, green, and blue brush strokes to frame the Disaronno logo—perfect for the spirits aficionado, or fashion lover, in your life.
Harley Viera-Newton’s label HVN has released its latest offerings for the holiday season, including the faux fur Teddy bag. Available in black, white, and leopard, this fuzzy bucket-style bag is both an adorable accessory and a practical on-the-go companion for the winter months ahead. Each features a printed interior and a matching scarf detail to be tied on the outside or elsewhere—and our favorite is the white bag with the vintage cherry print.
Louis Vuitton has introduced its new “Perfumes for the Home”—a collection of candles infused with the same nomadic spirit and lust for travel often associated with the house. Each candle is presented in a white handmade ceramic dish complemented by a natural leather handle (for portable convenience), and a gold-finished metal lid. Just as much an accessory for the home as it is an olfactory experience, the candle is available in four distinctive scent: L’Air du Jardin, Feuilles d’Or, íle Blanche, and Dehors Il Neige. Made to transport the senses on a journey beyond the home, the candles evoke other wordly experiences and scents like a crackling fire next to frosted windowpane and a breeze drifting through the air during an afternoon siesta.
