Insider Sarah Wetenhall Shares the Best of Palm Beach

The Colony Hotel’s owner Sarah Wetenhall shares her tips for the best places to visit in Palm Beach.

Sarah Wetenhall’s Favorite Spot to Find Inspiration

A morning walk along the Lake Trail is undoubtedly where I am most inspired. The path meanders along the Intracoastal Waterway, past some of Palm Beach’s most stunning homes and through some of the town’s best landmarks—the Flagler Museum, Bradley Park, The Royal Poinciana Plaza . . .

The Best Off-the-Beaten-Path Place to See Art

The rotating art on display at The Colony Hotel, within our curated Solarium space, and the more obvious galleries located along Worth Avenue and within The Royal Poinciana Plaza. My personal favorite is the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. If you’re truly in-the-know, you’ll also arrange a visit to The Bunker, a private art space in West Palm Beach that presents rotating exhibitions and viewable storage of the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection by invitation and through scheduled private tours.

The Best-Kept Secret in Palm Beach According to Sarah Wetenhall

The little “vias” off of Worth Avenue are definitely the town’s best-kept secret. When wandering Worth Avenue window shopping, one must not take what you see at face value. Some of the best boutiques and finds on Palm Beach are hidden down the beautiful, bougainvillea-draped passages adjacent to the famous shopping street.
