All this week in preparation for Salone del Mobile and miart, we’re hearing from leading design, art, culture, and lifestyle experts on how they enjoy Milan.
“Milan is living a great cultural moment, and recently many new interesting places to see art were born, such as project spaces, institutes, foundations, museums, galleries, and so on. Also miart, the international contemporary art fair, is bringing every year great energy and attention to Milan and its lively art world. Nevertheless, when I’m in Milan, my favorite places to see art are, for sure, Accademia di Brera and Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, where I can admire amazing masterpieces in a very relaxed and quiet atmosphere. You often find yourself totally alone in the rooms of these amazing museums with the works of masters such as Caravaggio, Raphael, Michelangelo, Jan Brueghel, and Bramantino, to name a few. I love to take the time
to contemplate and experience these artworks in an intimate way.”
