Last night, a cocktail and gala dinner was held at the Grand Palais in Paris to celebrate the Biennale des Antiquaires, which opens tomorrow. The esteemed showcase of high jewelry, antiques, design, and art (on view through September 21) is now in its 27th edition.
Interior designer Jacques Grange was tapped by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) for the scenography. The venue’s bright green carpeting, mock trellises as booth walls, bubbling fountain, and a smattering of topiaries were all inspired by the gardens of Versailles.
Alongside European royalty, SNA president Jean-Gabriel Peyre, Président de la Commission Biennale Hervé Aaron, Juliette Binoche, Bernadette Chirac, Corice Arman, Bernard Arnault, Victoire de Castellane, Bernard Picasso, Jerome de Noirmont, Eric de Rothschild, Liu Yang, Peter Marino, Danielle Steel, Herve van der Straeten, Lauren Santo Domingo, and David Netto were all in attendance at Tuesday’s black tie affair.
