Aaron Garber-Maikovska‘s “Yucaipa” is on view at MASSIMODECARLO in Milan through May 15. The Los Angeles-based artist has made a new series of six large-scale abstract paintings on fluted polypropylene. These vibrant, energetic works are shown alongside two video pieces displayed on horizontal mobile sculptures. Garber-Maikovska describes his practice as “somatic,” existing at the intersection of motion, performance, langague, and painting.
