Titled “It Seems Like That,” Sprüth Magers’s Berlin location is presenting a solo show of the artist Andro Wekua through October 30. Working between figuration and abstraction, the artist’s new works on view mark a shift in visual devices, moving to the use of more simplistic imagery in his multilayered collages and paintings. Utilizing personal memories and cultural histories, viewers may find that Wekua’s works embody a dreamlike feel, though his exact narrative and subjects remain elusive.
