Nancy Holt: Mirrors of Light

Sprüth Magers is presenting its first-ever exhibition of the late artist Nancy Holt, surrounding the titular installation Mirrors of Light.

November 25, 2021 - February 5, 2022

Sprüth Magers is presenting its first-ever exhibition of the late artist Nancy Holt, surrounding the titular installation Mirrors of Light. On view through February 5, 2022, the artwork is made to adapt to the room in which it is installed, featuring 10 circular mirrors mounted in a line, which interact with a spotlight hanging from an adjacent wall. First seen at New York’s Bykert Gallery in 1973, a key element of the installation is the role of the viewer and the changes that occur when the refractions are skewed by their presence.
