In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Bronx Museum of Arts presents “Born in Flames: Feminist Futures,” curated by Jasmine Wahi, Holly Block Curator of Social Justice. From April 28 to September 12, this group exhibition of work by 14 femme-identified and non-binary artists discusses current oppression and ways to create a just and equal environment in the future. Participating artists include Caitlin Cherry, Chitra Ganesh, Clarissa Tossin, Huma Bhaba, Firelei Báez, Lizzie Borden, María Berrío, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum, Rose B. Simpson, Sin Wai Kin (fka Victoria Sin), Saya Woolfalk, Shoshanna Weinberger, Tourmaline, and Wangechi Mutu.
