“Short-circuits” at Pirelli HangarBicocca is a retrospective of Chen Zhen‘s work, curated by Vicente Todoli. Over 20 large-scale installations are on view by the late artist, all made within the last decade of his life. This selection of seminal works showcases the artist’s investigation of the material and spiritual world, the act of making art, and the process of healing. The immersive show brings together many works for the first time, across 5,500 square meters of the Navate and Cubo of Pirelli HangarBicocca. Highlights include Jue Chang, Dancing Body – Drumming Mind (The Last Song), (2000); Round Table (1995); and Fu Dao / Fu Dao, Upside-down Buddha / Arrival at Good Fortune (1997).
