“to the everyday miracle” at kaufmann repetto is a retrospective of the late artist Corita Kent‘s work (1918-1986). Put together with the Corita Art Center in Los Angeles, the exhibition includes over 40 prints and watercolors, shown alongside archival material from the 1950s-80s. Kent was a catholic nun for more than 30 years, and as an artist, educator, and activist she was committed to social justice. Her passion was reflected in her culturally- and socially-charged work, engaging with Pop Art, the politics of the 1960s, and the rise of consumer culture.
