The modern Korean establishment COTE is a not-to-miss offering by restaurateur Simon Kim. Named after the Korean word for “flower,” the restaurant merges classic Korean barbeque flavors with American steakhouse cuts. For imbibing, COTE’s beverage director, Victoria James, and its principal bartender, Sondre Kasinhas, put together a drink selection including martinis, old-fashioneds, artisanal soju, and wines by the glass that are poured out of magnums.
This winter, COTE reintroduced safe indoor dining in New York at its flagship. Additionally, its outdoor setup—called the “COTE Cabanas”—offers an entirely private outdoor experience with a 10-course Steak Omakase™ menu, complete with tableside grilling, ventilation fans, and hanging pendant lights.
Whitewaller recommends: Ordering the Butcher’s Feast® prix fixe, and keeping COTE’s Miami location in mind for your post-pandemic getaway, which opened on February 12.
