Experiential art company Superblue opened its first venue to the public this past spring with its debut exhibition, “Every Wall Is a Door,” presenting installations by experiential artists Es Devlin, teamLab, James Turrell, and DRIFT. Within the 50,000-square-feet structure, visitors will find Devlin’s immersive environment Forest of Us, which explores the human respiratory process. From teamLab, Between Life and Non-Life looks at the definition of living and nonliving states of being and the relationship between humans and the natural world through a series of interconnected digital artworks. Turrell’s Ganzfeld dives into a journey of light, space, and the mechanics of vision. Superblue also presents Meadow by DRIFT. Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta’s suspended, mechanical flowers blossom and dance in response to viewers, creating an interactive experience that evokes the magic of nature.
