GIZI Foundation

Painter Park Seo-Bo’s GIZI Foundation is a non-profit art space in Seoul dedicated to nurturing future generations of artists. Dually named “GIZI” for the Korean word for “base,” as well as spirit (gi) and wisdom (zi), the foundation at once honors Park’s life and career through several artistic movements and wars while focusing on three pillars to foster creativity of all kinds: cultural diversity that welcomes newcomers, community support focusing on cultural value over economic value, and encouraging creative freedom across genres and mediums. The foundation has a rotating program of events and exhibitions, including the work of Park and other artists.
