Housed in a 155-year-old landmark-protected building, Gucci Wooster spans an entire city block in SoHo. The unique destination blends the artistic heritage of SoHo and House’s latest collections. Exposed original brickwork, iron and wooden floors, tin ceilings, and columns inhabit the space alongside Gucci’s newest visions. Gucci Wooster also features a screening room with custom 3D screen technology, headphones and armchairs. The boutique utilizes the latest retail technology with a dedicated in-store augmented reality app that allows customers to use store-provided iPad or iPhone to customize products and envision the items in various settings.
The space is furnished with Italian designs by Cassina, B&B Italia, and Minotti, including the Maralunga sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina, the La Bambol armchair by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia, and the Gladstone table by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti. A collection of modern and contemporary artworks curated by Gucci’s art partner Truls Blaasmo features sculptures and video art by American and international artists such as Alighiero Boetti, Larry Bell, Lucio Fontana, Autumn Knight, and Sasha Stiles.
Whitewaller recommends: Kicking back in one of Gucci Wooster’s ornate turmeric velvet armchairs to watch their latest showing in the multi-sensorial screening room.
