A group exhibition by Galerie Maria Bernheim, “Images: Ghost Painterly Abstraction” is a dual presentation at the gallery’s spaces in London (open through October 9) and Zurich (on view until October 23). Titled as a playful reference to the 1964 exhibition “Post-Painterly Abstraction,” the artists on view have been chosen for their simultaneous use of visual clarity paired with elements of emotion and content. Featuring names like Carla Accardi, Maja Ruznic, Amy Sillman, Richard Tuttle, and Michaela Yearwood-Dan, the viewers will find common among the featured work a defiance of true abstraction or figuration, reflecting a contemporary moment in art.
