“Photographism” highlights the groundbreaking photography of the late Irving Penn, with works spanning between 1939—the early 2000s. Featuring a collection of 30 images and a selection of rarely-exhibited archival materials and sketches organized into six distinct groups of work, movements, and mediums exercised by Penn, the exhibition proposes the artist as the individual who coined the idea of “photographism.”
