Photographer Jimmy Nelson’s “The Last Sentinels” opens June 9 and is on view at Atelier des Lumières in Paris through July 10.
“The Last Sentinels” is a 40-minute immersive experience that reconnects visitors to themselves, others, and the planet. It combines photography, film, animation, and sound, inviting visitors to follow the footsteps of Indigenous peoples and to celebrate them as models for a better way of living.. This all-encompassing installation offers a social, cultural, environmental message. The show asks us to see and reflect on ourselves through the eyes of the other, and confronts us with an overwhelming call to action.
