Titled “I Carry This Land With Me,” Gallery 12.26’s presentation of the Dallas-based artist Karla García features a series of terra cotta floor sculptures and works on paper. Born in Mexico before relocating with her family to the U.S., García’s work revisits past moments in her life through themes of memory and nostalgia, presenting the clay works in a familiar landscape-setting evoking imagery of a desert scene.
