In February 2020, the BYREDO store in Los Angeles opened as the largest store to date. “With that in mind, I wanted to make a space that could change and morph over time, as well as express the collaborative nature of the brand,” said Ben Gorham, the brand’s creative director and founder.
Nearly 3,030 square feet of space exhibits the brand’s signature Swedish codes, first through an architecture collaboratoration with Halleroed. The axis between Scandinavian and Californian “warm Modernism” offers a communal interior, utilising woods such as hard oak, elder, and American walnut. Details like polished and anodised aluminiums act in contrast, providing structure for the products on display.
