Musing on what makes a home, the artist Lydia Ourahmane has transported thousands of objects from her Algiers apartment to the rooms of Kunsthalle Basel for her exhibition “Barzakh.” Meticulously organized alongside a series of new sculptures, Ourahmane utilizes these objects to begin unraveling constructions of home, border, territory, and nation-state and the roles individuals play in each.
