“Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration” is a major exhibition featuring works by more than 35 artists including names like Tameca Cole, American Artist, Sable Elyse Smith, Jesse Krimes, Mark Laughney, and Maria Gaspar. Filling the entirety of the space’s first floor galleries, the show highlights the experiences of incarcerated artists and those impacted by the prison system in other ways, creating a commentary on the way the United States’ prison industrial complex has helped shape contemporary culture.
