Primary exhibits the new large-scale, colorful ceramic sculptures of the Detroit-based artist Wade Tullier. Influenced by his childhood growing up in the American South, Tullier examines personal myth and generational storytelling in his lively artworks and clay creations. Imagery both distinct and abstract invokes the shapes and forms of wildlife, food, and humanity. Repetition, transformational states of being, and theoretical interpretations are prevalent in Tullier’s technically assured and thoughtful works.
