Michael P. Berman: Perdido

Open at Galleri Urbane through October 2 is an exhibition of photographs by Michael P. Berman titled “Perdido.” Named after Berman’s recent publication, Perdido: Sierra San Luis, which documents the artist’s journey by foot through the San Luis mountain range, the presentation is a larger-scale embodiment of the images born from these travels along the Texas-Mexico border. Viewers at the gallery can expect to follow Berman’s experience through a selection of captivating black and white photographs offering a poetic depiction of the terrain and its occasional inhabitants, like abandoned clothing, cactus, and cows.
