For the Salon del Mobile 2022, the family-owned Italian bathroom and faucet designer Fantini debuts “Sailing,” a bath fixtures collection created in collaboration with the New York- and Toronto-based design firm Yabu Pushelberg. This premiere North American collaboration resonantly reimagines an essential fixture, the faucet. “Sailing”’s functional yet poetic and sleek horn-shaped handles and naval spout recall the iconic silhouette of boat cleats, often used to secure boats by rope in Fantini’s home on Lake Orta in Northern Italy. Through its latest design, Fantini now presents this evocative charge of life on the smooth and crystal-clear water in the form of a stylish and modern bathroom accent.
