Mondrian Evolution

Part of Fondation Beyeler’s 25th-anniversary celebration, the space is presenting the exhibition “Mondrian Evolution” (organized with the help of Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf), which is open through October 9. Coinciding with the 150th birthday anniversary of the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian—noted as one of the most significant names in the avant-garde movement—visitors will find a survey of works looking at his development up through the 1920s and representing the later years of the artist’s career, highlighting Mondrian’s recurring motifs like dunes and seascapes and a farmstead reflected in water.
