Working at the crossroads of architecture and music, Naama Tsabar’s exhibition “Perimeters” (open at The Bass until April 17, 2022) features new and site-specific works, centering the artist’s “Inversions” series. In an installation that offers opportunities for performance and activation, Tsabar has created a system out of hardware and disassembled parts of instruments that turn the museum itself into an instrument waiting to be played. Also on view are creations like a pair of shoes fused with a metronome titled October 13 2019 – July 5 2021 and the site-specific Twilight (Gaffer Wall), which sees a wall covered in gaffer tape (used in stage productions to stabilize cables), proposing a commentary on the work that goes on behind the scenes.
