Napoleon I – For the Best and for the Empire

On the occasion of the bicentenary death of Napoleon Bonaparte, the Monnaie de Paris has presented “Napoleon I – For the Best and for the Empire.” On view through March 17, a compilation of more than 400 objects and artworks shines a spotlight on the role of symbols and medals in Napoleon’s legendary story, including a range of coins, tools, paintings, archival documents, and medals.
