Naudline Pierre’s first solo museum exhibition, “What Could Be Has Not Yet Appeared,” is open at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) until May 15, 2022. Continuing the artist’s exploration of themes like hybridity and transformation, the presentation encompasses a series of five new paintings and a suite of existing works. Her latest works, all existing on large-scale canvases, follow the transformative journey of a single protagonist through a mystical metamorphosis of flight, flames, and pleasure. Alongside these, viewers will find other paintings employing the artist’s signature vibrant palette, like the DMA’s recent acquisition, Lest You Fall.
