Olaf Breuning: BIG DROPS

Open at Von Bartha’s S-chanf space through May 29, Olaf Breuning’s “BIG DROPS” looks at global warming and the natural world through a series of woodcut paintings. Taking a playful approach to more serious subject matter, the artist has created the colorful works by printing the paintings onto canvases using blocks of wood. In the show, viewers will find lighthearted works encompassing a range of motifs from the outdoors like trees, raindrops, butterflies, and other natural matter—like the orange and pink First Plant or the scene depicting enormous droplets of water over a range of peaks, Mountains.
