Paloma Contreras Lomas: Cartridge (The Spiritual Nation)

Paloma Contreras Lomas’s “Cartridge (The Spiritual Nation)” is now on view at kurimanzutto until December 11. The exhibition, made up of a series of multimedia installations, explores the communication of natural and constructed landscapes, taking visitors through replicas of rocks, caves, and clouds in an artificial ecosystem. Lomas’s discipline, based largely around science fiction, intertwines video, writing, drawing, and performance to investigate the organic and the political. Lomas is currently working on La Nación Espiritual (or The Spiritual Nation) in close proximity to the Popocatépetl volcano. She lives and works in Mexico City.

kurimanzutto will also be featured in Gallery Weekend Mexico, taking place from November 57.
