Paul Cocksedge‘s “Performance” is on view at Friedman Benda in New York through April 17. The exhibition showcases three series from the British designer, entitled Performance, Push, and Excavation. Cocksedge explores material like glass, wood, concrete, and metal via techniques like glassblowing. The Excavation body of work was made during the height of the pandemic, and as the designer described, “They’re not just any random block of concrete, they’re part of a moment in time when the world felt upside down.”
