Compound, the new cultural complex in Long Beach, CA, incorporates contemporary art, wellness, and community into one space for a rejuvenating cultural experience. For its inauguration exhibition through January entitled “Radical Empathy,” Compound is featuring works by artists like Isaac Julien, Andrea Bowers, Leslie Hewitt and more. While examining the relationship between art and the political present, the show proposes creative ideas of critical change.
